From the East – A Message from the Master
March reminds us that Freemasonry is not only about tradition, but about action. As we move deeper into the year, we are called to live our values through service, fellowship, and personal growth. This past month was a powerful reflection of that commitment, and I am proud of what we continue to build together.
🌟 March Highlights
🥞 Edenvale Elementary Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
What an incredible success.
Thanks to the dedication of our Brothers, families, and volunteers, the event was well attended and filled with fellowship and community spirit. Most importantly, our efforts helped support over 20 college-bound students with scholarship assistance 🎓
This is Freemasonry in action. Quietly serving, lifting others, and making a lasting impact.
A special thank you to all who showed up early, stayed late, and gave of their time.
🏛️ Stated Meeting & Inspector’s Official Visit
March also brought an important moment for our Lodge with the Inspector’s Official Visit. These occasions remind us of our accountability, our standards, and the pride we take in our ritual and operations.
Strong attendance and engagement continue to reflect the strength of Golden Rule Lodge.
📚 Masonic Education – A March Reflection
March holds special significance in Masonic tradition. Inspired by the Essex Freemasons’ historical reflection, we remember:
George Washington’s Fellowcraft Degree
On March 3, 1753, George Washington was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft.
This degree symbolizes strength, learning, and the pursuit of knowledge—qualities Washington carried throughout his life as a leader and statesman.
His Masonic journey reminds us that the Craft shapes not only good men, but great leaders.
Educational Focus of the Month
The Fellowcraft Degree - This degree encourages:
The study of the liberal arts and sciences
The development of personal strength—moral, intellectual, and spiritual
The importance of labor and self‑improvement
Brethren are encouraged to revisit their Fellowcraft lecture this month and reflect on how its lessons apply to their daily lives.
Freemasonry is not static. It is a lifelong journey of refinement.

🌟 March is Masonic Youth Orders Month
Inspired by the Grand Lodge of California, we celebrate and highlight the three Masonic youth orders:
DeMolay International
Builds leadership, confidence, and service in young men.
Many DeMolay members later become dedicated Masons.
Job’s Daughters International
Empowers young women through leadership, community service, and personal growth.
International Order of the Rainbow for Girls
Encourages charity, leadership, and sisterhood.
